There are three levels of Award made by The London Youth Trust:

Bursary up to a maximum of £500
To enable a young person working through a recognised club or agency to undertake an accredited leadership or citizenship award or qualification in order to enable him or her to 'put something back' into the club, organisation or local community.

Scholarship up to a maximum of £1000
To enable a potential adult leader sponsored by a recognised organisation or agency to undertake an accredited leadership or instructional award or qualification in order to increase his or her effectiveness and for his or her own personal development.

Fellowship up to a maximum of £2000
To allow an existing adult leader sponsored by a recognised organisation or agency to undertake formal research or investigation into a youth work related area in order to increase his or her effectiveness of delivery or resource provision. Research may be written up in appropriate journals to promote LYT.

Complete the application form as fully as possible, have it endorsed by your adult youth worker or club leader, and return it to LYT.

• For the printable version both pages should be typed, not hand written. Ideally, the form should be sent on-line in any event and in this case tick the relevant box in lieu of a signature.
• Please ensure you complete all boxes or your application cannot be considered and please attach any additional information relevant to the costs either by email or by post.
• Trustees’ meetings take place at the beginning of March, June, September and December. Applications should reach us by the 1st of the previous month for a decision at a Trustees’ meeting. You will receive notification within 3 weeks whether or not you have been successful.
